Governance

We are governed by a board of trustees who work closely with our management committee and the hospital to ensure all your donations are properly administered and put to the most valuable and relevant use. If you would like to know more about these processes please contact the charity director.

Your donations are allocated to specific grants which are put though a rigorous approval process with includes ethics and peer reviews.

The charity awards two types of grant. Small and large grants.

Any member of staff may apply for a small grant of up to £3,000 for things which will help make things better for patients. Applications can be made at any time of the year and are considered and awarded regularly as we like to ensure our patients are not kept waiting for improvements.

Applications for large grants of over £3,000 are invited twice a year. The application is then subjected to the rigorous approval system outlined above. Grants are often made over 1 to 3 year periods.
