A letter from one of our patients:

‘I just wanted to let you know what a positive difference the new chemotherapy suite has made to receiving chemotherapy at Weston Park. Previously, because of the ever increasing number of patients it was necessary to have two separate areas for day patients to receive treatment. As a breast cancer patient requiring cold cap treatment to help me keep my hair, I often had to be moved to the upstairs suite to carry on receiving my treatment when the downstairs treatment room closed at 5pm. With the new large suite, this is a thing of the past! The new suite is large enough to treat all the day case patients in one area and is open until 7pm. It is also infinitely brighter and more colourful than the old! Having Chemotherapy is a difficult and unpleasant experience. The fabulous nurses have always made such an effort to make patients as comfortable as possible, now they have a treatment area that supports that huge effort!’
